Instructions for the HPV Screening Test

With our HPV Screening Test , you can easily and safely conduct an important health examination conveniently from home – without a doctor's visit. This guide will take you step by step through the process, from preparation to sample collection to shipping.

Probatix provides you with the necessary materials so that your sample can be professionally collected and analyzed in a specialized, accredited laboratory. Follow the instructions to obtain reliable results and keep an eye on your health.

✅ Important notes in advance - please be sure to observe

• Keep the container out of reach of children.
• The sample should not be taken during menstruation.
• Use the container only once and avoid direct sunlight. 
• Do not perform the test if the sample container is open upon arrival. In this case, contact us.
• Do not perform the test during menstruation, abnormal bleeding, pelvic pain, pregnancy, or within the first 6 weeks after childbirth. 
• A vaginal swab is required for this test. You need free hands for this.
• Open the sample container only immediately before use and ensure that the swab tip only touches the areas mentioned in the instructions.
• Suitable only for persons over 18 years of age.
• Activate your sample as described in the instructions in step 8 . If you do not follow this step, your sample cannot be evaluated and will be disposed of by the laboratory.

📋 Step 1: Preparation

1. Wash your hands with soap and dry them. You can also use the enclosed gloves.

2. Remove the swab from the sample container. Be careful not to touch the swab tip with anything. Keep the sample container handy. You will need it again after collecting the sample. 

3. Open the email "Important for your test result: Please activate your test", as you will need it later.

🧪 Step 2: Execution

4. Hold the swab with two fingers at the middle of the stick. With one hand, spread the labia.Insert the swab tip with the other hand until the fingers holding the swab touch the vagina. This is sufficient to collect the necessary sample.

5. Gently swirl the swab for 20 seconds. The swab does not need to touch the vaginal walls or the cervix. 

6. Carefully remove the swab from the vagina, without touching the tip. Place the swab back into the sample container and seal it. 

7. Place the sample container in the clear plastic bag, press out the excess air, and seal it. 

📦 Step 3: Registration & Shipping

8. Open the pre-received email and click on "Activate Test" in the test profile. Follow the next steps and fill in your information so that the order can be sent to the lab.

9. Place the protective bag in the pre-addressed return box and seal it carefully. 

10. Add the sender address on the return label and drop the return box in the mailbox on the same day.

11. Once your sample has been analyzed in the lab, you will receive a notification and can view your results online.
