With our home tests, you can check your health from the comfort of your own home. It's easy to perform and only requires a few steps. In this guide, we'll walk you through the entire process - from preparation to sample collection and shipping.
Simply follow the instructions below to get reliable results and keep track of your health.
Probatix provides sample collection and submission material for a laboratory test to determine certain biomarkers in human capillary blood. The sample is evaluated in specialized and accredited diagnostic laboratories.

→ Please read the instructions carefully and completely beforehand. Please follow every step - do not skip any step!
→ Bring the blood sample to a Deutsche Post branch on the day it is taken (only from Monday to Wednesday, no letterbox delivery!). Please store the sample in the refrigerator until it is sent.
→ Drink plenty of water beforehand and avoid coffee and sugary drinks to facilitate blood flow.
→ The marking is easy to read from the inside; if in doubt, the label can be scratched off a little. Please make sure that the barcode remains intact!
→ The test is only intended for persons over 18 years of age.
→ The test may only be carried out after consultation with the treating physician if:
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding .
- suffer from a congenital or acquired blood clotting disorder.
- taking anticoagulant medication.
→ Do not take a test if you have a blood-borne disease such as hepatitis or HIV.
Preparation
Please read the instructions on the back carefully beforehand.
Have all materials ready for the test: blue and white lancets, gauze swabs, disinfectant swabs, tubes, plasters, safety bag and shipping bag.
Fill all tubes included in the test kit up to 0.5 ml.
Keep the box with the QR code on the inside of the lid.
Open the email “Shipping confirmation and important information about your Probatix test” , you will need this later.

Remove the lid (do not twist) and place the tube in the designated cutout (right tab) in the shipping box so that it cannot tip over during blood collection.

Stimulate blood circulation: Hold your hand under warm water for at least 1 minute, dry it, and move your arm in circular movements at least 5-10 times.

Disinfect your fingers with the alcohol swab provided and let them dry briefly.
Tip: The middle finger is best.

Hold the blue-white lancet horizontally, rotate the blue protective cover around its own axis and carefully (!) pull it off.
Important: Never use the lancet without or with a loose protective cap.

Place your hand on a firm surface with the palm facing upwards. Place the lancet on the middle of the fingertip and press firmly . Wipe away the first drop of blood.

Stand up and hold your hand diagonally downwards below heart level. Massage your finger lightly (!) from the palm of your hand to the fingertip.
Important: Do not squeeze the finger under any circumstances to avoid the formation of bruises. This can distort the blood values.

Hold your finger over the tube and fill it (you can use the tube's scraper to do this). Continue massaging your finger.
Important: If blood is replenished too slowly, start again with the second lancet and a different finger (point 3).
8th
The collection is complete when the 0.5 ml mark is reached on all tubes. Tap the tube gently on the table several times to allow the blood to flow out.
9th
Then press the cap back on the tube until you hear a “click” sound. Then shake the tube gently 2-3 times.
Important: If the sample is less than 0.5 ml, it cannot be evaluated. The marking is easy to read from the inside, but if in doubt, the label can be scratched off a little. Please make sure that the barcode remains intact.

Finally, cover the wound with a plaster.
Shipment
11th
Place the sealed tube in the transparent security bag in the back pocket with the silver ribbon; remove the ribbon and carefully seal the bag.
Important: Do not tear open the security bag!
12th
Place the transparent bag in the grey return envelope and seal it carefully.
13th
In the previously opened email, click on “Activate test” in the test profile so that the order can be sent to the laboratory and send the envelope with the sample immediately by post (not in the mailbox).
Important: Please send the sample only from Monday to Wednesday.
The used materials can be disposed of in household waste.
