General Notes
Please read the instructions carefully in advance and follow each step.
- Bring the blood sample to a branch of Deutsche Post on the day of collection (only Monday to Wednesday, no mailbox drop-off). Store the sample in the refrigerator until shipping.
- Drink enough water beforehand and avoid coffee and sugary drinks to facilitate blood flow.
- The test is only suitable for individuals over 18 years of age.
- Only perform the test after consulting with your doctor if you:
- are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- suffer from a blood clotting disorder.
- are taking anticoagulant medications.
- Do not perform a test if you suffer from a blood-borne disease such as hepatitis or HIV.
- Fill all tubes included in the test kit up to the 0.5 ml mark.
- If you have any questions, contact us via email at support@probatix.de. For more information, visit our Contact Page or our FAQ.
Step 1: Preparation
- Read the instructions on the back of the manual carefully.
- Prepare all materials: lancets, gauze swabs, disinfectant swabs, sample tubes, plasters, safety bag, and shipping envelope.
- Open the email "Shipping Confirmation and Important Information about Your
Probatix Test" as you will need it later.
Step 2: Execution
- Remove the lid of the tube (do not twist) and place it in the designated cutout of the shipping box.
- Stimulate blood circulation: Hold hand under warm water for at least 1 minute, dry it, and rotate the arm 5–10 times in large movements.
- Disinfect the chosen finger with the alcohol swab and let it dry briefly. Tip: The middle finger is particularly suitable.
- Hold the blue-white lancet horizontally, rotate the protective cap around its axis, and carefully remove it. Important: Do not use the lancet without or with a loose protective cap.
- Place the hand with the palm facing up on a firm surface. Position the lancet on the center of the fingertip and press firmly. Wipe away the first drop of blood.
- Hold the hand diagonally downward below heart level and gently (!) massage the finger from the palm to the fingertip. Important: Do not squeeze the finger to avoid bruising, as this can distort blood values.
- Hold the finger over the tube and fill it (the wiping aid can be used). If too little blood regenerates, start again with a second lancet on another finger.
- The collection is complete when the 0.5 ml mark in the tube is reached. Tap the tube lightly on the table several times to allow the blood to flow.
- Press the lid back onto the tube until a "click" sound is heard. Then gently shake the tube 2–3 times. Important: Less than 0.5 ml is not analyzable.
- Take care of the wound with a plaster.
Step 3: Shipping
- Place the sealed tube in the transparent safety bag and close it carefully.
- Put the safety bag in the gray return envelope and seal it carefully.
- Open the email you received in advance and click on “Activate Test”in the test profile to send the order to the laboratory.
- Send the envelope immediately by mail (no mailbox drop-off). Important: Shipping should only occur between Monday and Wednesday.
- Used materials can be disposed of in household waste.
