What is the advantage compared to a blood test at the doctor's?
What is the advantage compared to a blood test at the doctor's?
Our tests save you time and travel – no waiting times, no appointment scheduling, no travel. You test flexibly, whenever it suits you, and with minimal effort conveniently from home.
Additionally, the results are yours and can be accessed and tracked digitally at any time.
And: Our tests do not replace doctor visits, but complement them sensibly. They help you to pay attention to your health early and to visit a doctor in a timely manner when it is really important.
Is Probatix the optimal solution for everyone? Isn't it cheaper at the doctor's?
Is Probatix the optimal solution for everyone? Isn't it cheaper at the doctor's?
Those who have a lot of time and can count on cost coverage by the health insurance can get some tests cheaper at the doctor. Probatix is ideal for everyone who wants to check their health flexibly and effortlessly.
You can compare it well: Temperature or blood pressure can also be measured for free at the doctor – yet many people own a fever thermometer or a blood pressure monitor at home to keep an eye on their values at any time. It is precisely this personal responsibility and flexibility that we want to enable with Probatix in the area of blood values.
Everyone must, of course, decide for themselves whether this comfort, time savings, and direct availability of results are worth it to them – and whether they are willing to invest in their own health.
What should I do if I don't understand my blood test results?
What should I do if I don't understand my blood test results?
You will not only receive your lab results but also a comprehensible classification with explanations of what the results mean. This way, you can make informed decisions about your health.
If you generally do not wish to engage with your values, our tests are not the right solution for you.
Why are the blood tests reliable?
Why are the blood tests reliable?
Our tests are evaluated by certified medical laboratories – the same laboratories that also analyze regular medical blood samples.
All tested parameters are specifically validated for capillary blood and provide the same reliable results as blood samples from the vein.
If I have to go to the doctor anyway in case of abnormalities – why not go there directly?
If I have to go to the doctor anyway in case of abnormalities – why not go there directly?
Just like a fever thermometer or a blood pressure monitor can provide you with initial indications at home, our tests also help to detect possible abnormalities at an early stage.
This way, you can specifically decide whether a doctor's visit is necessary.
General
Can't I also have these tests done for free at my general practitioner?
Can't I also have these tests done for free at my general practitioner?
The possibility of having certain tests conducted by your general practitioner certainly exists. However, what 'free of charge' means can vary. Traditional methods can often be associated with waiting times and multiple doctor visits, which can be challenging, especially if you have a tight schedule or are seeking quick answers to your health questions.
At Probatix, we focus on providing you with a more accessible and efficient alternative. Our goal is for you to have easy access to your blood values without long waiting times. More importantly, we want you to not only view your health data but also understand and actively use it to independently manage your health.
Our vision is to promote better and proactive healthcare in Germany, which not only facilitates the early detection of diseases but also helps to relieve doctor's offices by avoiding unnecessary visits. We believe that an informed approach to one's own health data is key to long-term well-being and efficient healthcare.

What do doctors say about the fact that people can now actively determine their blood values?
What do doctors say about the fact that people can now actively determine their blood values?
There are differing opinions among doctors on this topic. Some doctors have concerns that patients might have difficulties understanding and correctly interpreting their own blood values. They see the determination and interpretation of blood values as an area that should remain in medical hands to avoid misunderstandings and incorrect conclusions.
On the other hand, there are many doctors who recognize the advantages of easily accessible, digitally available, and reliable blood tests. These doctors see that by actively involving patients, health awareness in the population is strengthened. They appreciate the low-threshold testing as a valuable addition to traditional blood examinations and see that such offerings can improve early detection and better treat chronically ill patients.
It is important that in the case of abnormal values, a doctor is consulted, as actual treatment can only be carried out by doctors. Only they have the necessary knowledge and expertise to take the correct therapeutic measures. The regular and validated lab tests from Probatix are very reliable, which avoids duplicate examinations. This allows doctors to start with an informational advantage, increasing the efficiency and accuracy of further medical care.
Furthermore, these tests can also be ordered by a doctor, creating a more pleasant patient experience. Patients can conveniently conduct tests from home or at a nearby Probatix partner without waiting time. This reduces the need for frequent doctor visits and waiting times, while still ensuring professional monitoring and consultation.Doctors are simultaneously relieved of routine tasks, giving them more time for individual patient care. The low-threshold offer makes life easier for everyone involved. Together with doctors and other stakeholders in the healthcare system, we are creating a better, more efficient healthcare system for all people. Ultimately, this development benefits everyone and contributes to improved healthcare.

Are there any special preparations that should be made before the health tests?
- Fluid intake: Drink enough water and avoid coffee and sugary drinks. This can make blood collection easier.
- Relaxation: Try to be relaxed before the test. Stress and excitement can affect blood pressure. It may also be helpful to swing your arm and warm your hands before the test.

How does the testing process work in the pharmacy?
How does the testing process work in the pharmacy?
The pharmacy staff performs the capillary blood collection by taking a few small drops of blood from the fingertip. The finger is punctured with a lancet and is relaxed on the blood collection device. Through a vacuum effect, the required amount of blood is collected in a tube. The process usually takes 2 to 4 minutes. Afterwards, the puncture wound is treated with a bandage and done!
The pharmacy staff takes care of the registration of the blood sample and the shipment to the laboratory.
A few business days after the blood collection, you will be notified by email that the results are available. You can view them in your MyProbatix account.
How does the testing process at home work?
How does the testing process at home work?
The blood collection process at home with a test-at-home kit begins with thoroughly cleaning the hands and preparing the kit according to the enclosed instructions. First, the finger is punctured with a lancet, and blood is collected from the fingertip. These blood drops are then placed into a sample tube. After collection, the sample is sent to a laboratory for analysis. Finally, the test results should be interpreted according to the instructions, and medical professionals should be contacted if necessary.
Will needles be visible?
Will needles be visible?
In a lancet puncture, the needles are usually not visible as they are housed within the lancet casing and only briefly protrude upon activation to penetrate the skin. This minimizes the visibility of the needle.
Does the finger blood sampling cause pain?
Does the finger blood sampling cause pain?
Finger blood collection usually causes only minimal pain. The prick with a lancet is quick and is often felt as a slight sting or tingling. Most people find the pain significantly less compared to a venous blood draw with a needle in the Armvene.Das However, pain perception can vary from person to person and also depends on the sensitivity of the finger skin.
How much blood is needed?
How much blood is needed?
The required amount of blood varies depending on the test. In most cases, at least 500 microliters of blood are needed, which corresponds to about 10-12 drops of blood. There are also test variants that require double the amount, i.e., two times 500 microliters of blood.
I would like to conduct multiple tests at once. Is that possible?
I would like to conduct multiple tests at once. Is that possible?
Yes, however, we recommend conducting a maximum of two tests in one day and waiting a few days before conducting further tests.
What personal data is transmitted to the laboratory?
What personal data is transmitted to the laboratory?

Is the blood collection device certified?
